Buckman is a charming, artsy industrial neighborhood in the Central Eastside of Portland. It was named for Cyrus Buckman, a local orchardist in the late 1800s who also served on the Portland school board and city council. 

Buckman is known for its unique mix of textures: industrial buildings are mixed with tree-lined streets and rows of colorful historic homes known as Painted Ladies. Buckman's culinary scene is also booming, with several James Beard nominations within walking distance, alongside several of the city's best cocktail and dive bars.
